Fun on the 4th of July! God Bless America!

by Harold Rushton on July 5, 2006

Well, my son and I could not find anything better to do on the 4th than kill a little paper. The rifle that he shoots for Field Target just came back from David Slade after a replacement spring and seal. So, we had to try it out… I also needed to do a little tweaking to my Daystate CR-X after some work that David also performed on it. Below are a few pictures from our range time today.

This is my son Matthew with his HW 97. He was trying to get the scope set up again after a new spring and seal were installed in the rifle.

Another shot of Matthew shooting his HW 97.

This is my Daystate CR-X. I really enjoy shooting this rifle. It is just a pleasure to shoot anytime, anyday!

This is a 1/4″ dot target I shot today. It was 5 shots at 25 yards in the seated Field Target position with my Daystate CR-X. I guess I need to practice a little more and get them all in there like the first two!
