{"id":571,"date":"2016-03-08T03:24:32","date_gmt":"2016-03-08T03:24:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/?p=571"},"modified":"2016-03-08T03:31:40","modified_gmt":"2016-03-08T03:31:40","slug":"steyr-lg110-custom-wood-and-grapics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/?p=571","title":{"rendered":"Steyr Lg110 Custom Wood and Grapics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6135.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-574\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-574 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6135-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6135\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6135-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6135-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6135-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;ve owned my Steyr LG110 since 2012. \u00a0It started life as a LG100, ten meter rifle. \u00a0The serial number is 273 and was an original Steyr Manlicher gun. \u00a0I converted the rifle to 12 fpe for World Field Target. \u00a0I added an external velocity adjuster and eventually changed over to the new LG110 chassis. \u00a0I have been very pleased with the gun as it is superbly accurate and consistent. \u00a0I shot it for a couple of years with the old original Steyr yellow and black laminate wood. \u00a0It worked fine, but I felt this rifle deserved a better fitting wood set.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-578\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-578 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-2-300x151.jpg\" alt=\"FullSizeRender 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-2-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-2-768x385.jpg 768w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-2-1024x514.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>So, before last season I made a new set of wood for the rifle. \u00a0 The new wood set included a custom fitted grip, cheek piece and knee riser. \u00a0I used a riser mechanism from Mac1 Airguns in California. \u00a0It functions well and doesn&#8217;t add too much weight. \u00a0 I made some slight adjustments to the wood set last season. \u00a0This winter I decided to refinish the rifle in a blue base-coat, skull hydrograpic pattern and lots of clear-coat!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-581\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-581 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-300x147.jpg\" alt=\"FullSizeRender\" width=\"300\" height=\"147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-300x147.jpg 300w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-768x376.jpg 768w, https:\/\/usfieldtarget.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/FullSizeRender-1024x501.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>As for the rest of the rifle, \u00a0I used a carbon fiber gray for the buttstock, trigger guard and air cylinder. \u00a0I think it turned out really nice. \u00a0Now I feel the rifle is almost complete. \u00a0I still have a couple of parts that will get some color later, but for now&#8230;
