Field Target Gear and Gadgets

This is a subject that we can spend a considerable amount of time discussing.  Field target shooters are notoriously famous for enjoying gear and gadgets.  So much so, that we tend to create new and improved gear and gadgets every year.  PYramyd teamHere I will show you what works for me, discuss what I plan to do or have done to my rifles and look at what other shooters find to be helpful for them.  So, come along and lets take a look at some goodies!

Below is a video of my 2012 field target gear.  It has changed some since then, but it’s a good place to start if you’re interested in seeing why I set my guns up the way I do.   I try to always use similar items on my rifles, such as the same model of scope, knee riser, etc.  This helps me to comfortably transition from one rifle to the next and still feel comfortable.  Admittedly, I enjoy shooting a lot of different airguns.  So I find myself wanting to try different rigs from time to time.  However, it should be noted that I have one dedicated Field Target rifle that I shoot all of the major competitions with.  I think by sticking with one gun that works well, a shooter can learn all of the fine details of how that particular gun operates and become better and better over time.
